About Southern Wildlife Resources

Southern Wildlife Resources, LLC was formed in 2007 by Dr. Jonathan Gassett, a Certified Wildlife Biologist with M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Wildlife Management and more than 25 years as a wildlife biologist, land manager, and senior governmental policy maker. Dr. Gassett formerly served as Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, and before that as the department's Wildlife Division Director and Big Game Coordinator.

The people who come to your property are licensed Wildlife Control Operators and licensed pesticide applicators. Meet the team.

We Read the Property First

Every job starts with the animal and the property, not the product. We confirm which species is responsible and what it is doing there before we recommend anything, because the right fix depends on both: mole ridges get charged to grubs, and a yard spray gets sold for a problem a spray cannot solve.

If a treatment will not work on your property, we say so before you pay for it. Our mole, tick, and mosquito pages each spell out what works, what does not, and why.

Where We Work

Our office is in Georgetown, Kentucky. Wildlife removal and pesticide application cover a 30-county footprint across Central and Northern Kentucky, from Lexington and Frankfort to Louisville and the Northern Kentucky river cities, and we are licensed to work statewide. See the full service area.

Wildlife management planning and conservation policy work are not limited to Kentucky; those services reach clients throughout the United States.
